Dynamic. Explorative. Challenging.

This class explores the fundamental principles and sequence of the Ashtanga Yoga practice. The practice encompasses free breathing with sound, bandhas (body locks) and the linking movements in the asana sequence in this dynamic practice. Expect a dynamic class- the first step of the Ashtanga system works to purify the body- which translates to it being quite sweaty! A steady but energetic pace is kept throughout the class but please do know that if you attend and feel tired, you are welcome to take a break and sit or lie down. Open to everyone who wants to try this dynamic yoga method. It is not essential but it is useful if you have previous experience with yoga. Please note that it this class isn't suitable for those completely new to any form of yoga. If you are a complete beginner to yoga, we recommend Hatha or Yin before exploring more dynamic, vinyasa-style classes.

I really enjoyed this class, as the below commentator said, it's a you tube live stream, which was handy for me. The teacher is very good at giving instructions and making it fun. It's quite a fast move through the Ashtanga sequence so definitely best for those with a bit of yoga experience, especially if you've done Ashtanga before.

this is not a zoom live class, but a YouTube recording; there's no feedback ... otherwise, an interesting short version of the primary series
