Getting ready!

Our popular Jump Rope Fit class but with the volume turned all the way up. This is for more proficient jumpers or for those looking for a more intense workout. Longer intervals, shorter rest periods and a lot more sweat. There will be a lot more moves and transitions involved although you don't need to know them all. Even if you know the basics, we can make this intense and keep things fast. We start with a dynamic warmup and then get straight into the skipping with a number of moves and transitions which will be called by the instructor. After around 2-3 minutes, we go straight into a bodyweight strength interval or speed and agility interval. This process is repeated with a mixture of activities to keep the heart rate high and the sweat pouring. For the finale, participants are run through the Jump Rope Gauntlet. A lineup of jump ropes of different sizes, weights and composition randomly placed. Each one turned for 30 gruelling seconds as fast as you can before moving on to the next one. A real challenge for your nervous system which has to adapt from a heavy rope to a light rope and back again, this is our trademark. In the hopes you're not completely finished by this point, we keep it lighthearted with some single and double dutch to send everyone home happy.
