Discover Pole
Suitable for complete beginners.
Are you ready to give pole dancing a go? Come along to one of our Discover Pole Dancing classes and give it a try! Classes are run several times per week at our Old Street Studio and last 1 hour.

Class Content:

During the class you will be taught basic pole moves including spins, transitions and floor work. This will give you a good idea of what you would to be able to achieve and master if you were to join our classes. The moves are different every week so you can keep coming back! Your teacher will also showcase routines featuring all the moves you will learn on a foundation level, and answer any questions you may have.

It is natural to feel nervous before practicing a new activity, but relax. All our trainers are friendly, fully qualified fitness professionals, who love pole dancing and teaching. They will pass on their skills to you in a safe and inspiring atmosphere.

Please don’t worry about your level of flexibility, strength or stamina; these are all qualities you will gain from Pole Dancing! We all had to start somewhere. You will be shocked at how much you can achieve in a short space of time, and can burn up to 400 calories an hour, while spending most of the class laughing and smiling.

What to wear / bring:

Gym gear – make sure you bring shorts, and a comfortable top. Please do not use any body lotion or moisturiser on the day of your session, as it will cause you to slip off the pole.

Please observe our Covid-19 Protocols:

Be on time - come 10 minutes early for your class, late comers will not be permitted into the studioNo shoes - you can leave your shoes at the top landing, or bring them in a shoe bagNo changing room - we can not provide a changing area or lockers during this time, come changed and head straight to your roomWash your hands - please wash your hands for 20+ seconds before and after classBring your own towel & mat - we will not be providing pole towels or yoga mats during this timeClean your station - wipe down your pole or equipment before and after class. Paper towels and solution will be made availableNo spotting - our teachers will not be able to spot you due to social distancing measures

The teacher was very accommodating, I was a little older than the other's. Plus there was mix up as to what to wear , shorts instead of leggings, but she made sure ever one had fun. Everyone enjoyed. Would recommend

Really fun, great teacher, great studio and an actually good workout - two days later and my abs and back muscles are still feeling the burn! I'll be back (although I'm sad the regular pole classes aren't available on MoveGB)
