The Yoga Class
These yoga classes are designed for all levels, including beginners, concentrating on breath, movement, and alignment. Questions about the session:
What do I to wear to a yoga class? Comfortable clothing you can move around in. A sweatshirt or fleece and socks for warmth during relaxation. Ideally, we practice barefoot. What should I bring to a yoga class? A yoga mat if you have one (some available at class), a small blanket and water. What to expect at a yoga class: Basic breathing exercises: helps calm the mind, helps you focus and prepare for your class. Warm-up session: to warm and mobilise joints and muscles. Postures: dynamic (moving in and out with the breath), or static (held for up to 30 seconds). Counter poses: work the opposite areas of the previous poses, and provide a balance to the overall practice. Relaxation: a guided practice that allows the body and mind to relax.
